Locating Teams Event (once invited)
1) Confirm with Teams event organizer regarding the email address used for Teams Events invite as a presenter then check for the event depending on which email address(es) the invites were sent to.
If internal (@kibsd.org) email address is used, event link can also be found in the Teams app > Calendar after signing in using district email address and password. Double-click on the calendar entry then select Join in order to enter event.
If external email address (anything but @kibsd.org) is used, an email containing the Teams Event invite information is present. Below is an example of the contents of a Teams event invite to a personal email address. Select Join live event to enter/test connection to the event.
As long as Event has not been officially started by the Moderator (Producer) of the Teams event, these Join links/buttons can be used to test connection to event. It is recommend to test (at least an hour) prior to actual start time of Teams Event. If there are issues, please contact Tech Services @ 907-486-7587

Joining Teams Event
1) Select Join or Join live event depending on how event invite was received. If invite was sent to an @kibsd.org email address, check Teams App > Calendar. If sent to any other email address, check Inbox (and Junk) folder(s).
2) Follow instructions accordingly on how to join event. It is recommended to download the Microsoft Teams app for best results. Below are shortcuts to locate the resources to download Microsoft Teams app depending on the device.

1 - Toggle Camera on/off as necessary
2 - Toggle Microphone on/off as necessary
3 - Verify Audio/Video inputs and outputs as necessary
4 - Select Join once desired settings are verified*
*External presenters will be in the lobby once joined in the Teams Event. Event moderator will need to manually enter you in the event from the lobby in order to finish joining the event. Internal presenters will directly be in the event (no lobby).*
