*User guide for Aver PTZ Link also attached for more information especially for troubleshooting....*
**Aver PTZ Link tracks using the Dante protocol. Built-in tracking from the Aver PTZ camera setting is not the same**
1) Remote into NUC in Boardroom (F140) via Windows RDP. Login info can also be found here. Log in as your district account.
2) Open Aver PTZ Link.
3) See screenshot below for reference. Refer to numbers and associated description to help decipher this window.
1 - Toggles Tracking for Selected (Dante) Mic channels. Mostly Mics 1-8 are the ones that need tracking. 9-12 usually has tracking off no matter what and only has it turned on for one-off setups per Laurie and/or CO
2 - List of Channels. Mic 1 (labeled on bottom of mic @ F140) = (Dante) Channel 1 as configured within Dante Contoller/Shure P300
3 - Aver Camera Presets. These presets are the PTZ position set from the Aver Camera itself (see adjusting Aver Camera Presets). Presets 1-20 recommended to be reserved for the Board Room as the room has the (future) potential to use 16+ mics (currently 14). All other presets can be changed/overwritten if need be. Refer to this article for toggling and a bit more in-depth with Aver Camera Presets.
4 - Current Live Mic. Usually when this is seen, a mic is currently picking up audio and camera is currently on preset that the Channel is mapped to. In this screenshot, Mic 7 picked up audio and camera is tracking to Preset 7
5 - Dantel Channels (See #2). This just inidcates Channels shown on Dante Controller app (no need to open Dante Controller app). With the way things are set up right now, Dante Input 1 = Mic 1 = Channel 1, Dante Input 2 = Mic 2 = Channel 2, Dante Input 3 = Mic 3 = Channel 3 and so on for this specific set up.
To keep tracking turned on, make sure that tracking (1) is toggled On then just disconnect (not log off or shut down) from the RDP session. Verify (and test) presets with Laurie and/or CO
To turn off tracking, follow same steps then just toggle tracking off. Also if used with different setup(s) but KIBSD Board Meeting, please revert channel + preset mapping to Channel 1-8 = Presets 1-8 as explained in the guide since this is primarily being just just for the Board meetings It is recommended to at least log off the RDP session to prevent more time consuming "kicking" other people off
